Putnam Presbyterian Church
This church dates to 1807, when a group of worshipers met in a tavern across the street from Dr. Increase Mathews' house. Was the center of Abolitionist activity during pre-Civil War years. Some members were "conductors" on the Underground Railroad. One of the oldest churches in Zanesville.
