Things to do in Hubbard

Fellows Riverside Gardens
Fellows Riverside Gardens conveys a special feeling to those who visit, a feeling of pride in the accomplishments of man not only through progress but through preservation as well. At opposite ends of the Gardens are vistas: one overlooks the scenic beauty of Lake Glacier, nestled in the wooded gorge that lines Mill Creek Park, while the other yields a view of industrial Youngstown. Fellows Riverside Gardens is a buffer zone -- a pause and a compromise between the past and present, between nature and man. Call (330) 702-3000 for more information.

Lanterman's Mill
Upon entering the mill, one is given the rare opportunity of stepping into the past - - into an era experienced by our ancestors. While in the mill, observe the pioneer ingenuity involved in the early production of meal and flour. Smell the sweet aroma of freshly ground grains. Hear the gentle trickle of water as it flows toward the wheel. Feel the rumbling vibrations of the stones as they whirl, grinding the various grains. Later, if you would like, try baking some Johnny Cakes, a staple of an early American diet made with stone-ground corn meal. Call (330) 702-3000 for more information.
