The museum includes the Ferdinand Howald Collection of early Modernist paintings, the Frederick Schumacher Collection of Old Masters and modern American paintings, and the Sirak Collection of Impressionist, post-Impressionist and Expressionist works. Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Garden
Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Garden is in Franklin Park at 1777 E. Broad St. This 12,500-square-foot glass structure, built in 1895, was designed in the style of London's Crystal Palace. Self-guiding tours travel through simulated habitats of the world including a tropical rain forest, the Himalayan Mountains, an arid desert and a Pacific Island water garden. Other exhibits include a bonsai collection, an orchid collection and seasonal displays. Jack Nicklaus Museum
Jack Nicklaus Museum is on the Ohio State University campus between Ackerman Rd. and Lane Ave. at 2355 Olentangy River Rd. The 24,000-square-foot facility includes interactive exhibits, vintage media footage and memorabilia tracing the life and career of the Columbus-born golfer. On display are his six Masters trophies. Olentangy Indian Caverns
Olentangy Indian Caverns are 6 mi. n. of jct. US 23 and I-270, then 2 mi. w. to 1779 Home Rd., following signs. Used by the Wyandot Indians for shelter, the caverns are a series of natural passageways and rooms 55 to 105 feet below ground. The President Harding Home and Museum
The President Harding Home and Museum is at 380 Mount Vernon Ave., 4 mi. w. of SR 23 on SR 95. It was from this house that Warren G. Harding conducted his “front porch” campaign in the 1920 presidential election. From wallpaper to gaslight fixtures and original furnishings, the house is authentically restored. In the back of the house, the former campaign press building, purchased for about $1,000 through the Sears Roebuck catalogue in 1920, contains a museum chronicling the Harding life and campaign and the construction of the Harding Memorial.
